Crime Loops 3 the latest installment to an instrumental series by Brooklyn based TeV95. Crime Loops 3 is a collage of beats, edits, and loops that exude a taste of urban culture with a hint of Brooklyn's art renaissance. Influenced by everything from Charlie Parker to Jack McDuff and more. Crime Loops 3 combines jazz and soul loops with electronic downtempo elements and explores many different methods of sampling and editing, from the classic to the obscure.
Many of today’s artistic masterpieces are nearly impossible to release for sale because of outdated intellectual property laws. It's arguable that some of today's most popular artists may find the need to break the law to create their art. Hence the name, Crime Loops.
This video and track, Some Velvet by Brooklyn duo Color War is just too rad. Released in 2009 this group's magic is basically undiscovered. Forget chill wave this is big dream music, download now!

Brooklyn Wildlife a culture brand best known for their rad photography and insane loft parties recently teamed up with NYC recording artists Tyquan Sounds, Que-Cee, & Watercolor (Stonehenge Parnhashnakovsky & Keith Edward) to record and release Hash Sessions EP. The EP was almost entirely recorded live as a rap cypher while the artist basically shared the mic as they spit their verses. The beats are a blend of drum loops and live Rhodes keys the often change musical course throughout the tracks. The results sound very genuine in that few mistakes were edited giving the record a raw & organic aesthetic rarely captured by the workflows of traditional studio recordings.

Brand new track by Harlem's rising star Azealia Banks is pure fire. Some are interpreting this as an Iggy Azalea diss record. Diplo is credited as the producer but our eyes brows rose when we noticed the following in the comments:
"um, too bad this isn't produced by Diplo at all and this beat is from DJ Master-d without credit given. Too bad too, because I love the names attached. That's fucked up. Diplo's name is just marketing for a song he didn't make." - Evan_G
It's not often an independent artist features a rap legend on his debut album. Miami MC Shottie does just that with his latest single Skyrider featuring one of the West Coast's most highly acclaimed, Ras Kass.
"I've always considered Ras Kass one of the best MC's in the game. We reached out with the record and he showed love… that's real." - Shottie
"I played this track for Shottie about a year ago it wasn't until recently we came up with the Skyrider concept. Once we started recording I knew the record was big and with Ras Kass blessing it became legendary." - TeV95
Delorean a full length album by Shottie produced by TeV95 is now available. For more info and music videos visit:
All of a sudden this guy Shottie appears on the scene with a full length album called Delorean and a crispy new music video "Legendary Shit" a hypnotic-soulful head nodder produced by Brooklyn based TeV95 reflecting on the Miami MC's juvenile past. The video directed by Garcia depicts Shottie as youngster rapping in the park and later as a young man breaking into his neighbors house to steal food. Not so surprisingly the house he breaks into is actually present day Shottie's.
Every now and then we come across a random submission from an artist we never heard of that makes us think, "hey this is not too bad we should post this" as was the case with Chicago producer Vapor Eyes and his latest project Golden Beats Volume #1. He accurately describes his sound "music you’ll find a hip-hop heart that pumps blood into the arteries of downtempo, trip-hop and psychedelic territories". From what we've heard we can describe it as "chill tempo" a nice collection of beats maybe not something for most MCs to rap to but definitely kool to vibe and listen. Enjoy.
The illrapper served up a new visual for Comin Up from his album The Fuck posted not too long ago. T.Shirt says, "Snapshot record, snapshot video. One minute of goodness directed by Ronin for Hot Mop Films. Filmed in our collaboration space with Reebok Classics & Reed Space. Mural by URNEWYORK. Big thank you to the kids who made it out."
The homey Action Bronson connects with Rick Cordero once again to bring you Hooker's At The Point a twisted visual inspired by the HBO documentary about prostitution. Bronson is setting up to release Blue Chips a free album with Fools Gold recording artist Party Supplies.
This is how mixtapes should sound (a real mix with a DJ who scratches) and one of the best we've heard in a while. Salazar is known for being one of the most talented Latin rappers in the game. On this project he teams up with DJ Heron and spits bi-lingual over classic 90's beats featuring some of Miami's finest talent including Shottie, Joey Duz, Marii Jane, Yeyo Cancio-Bello, Omniscient amongst others. Don't slip on this one it's a certified heater.
LRG sponsored, Brooklyn MC, G.R.A.M.Z and his 4Fun set have been making some serious noise in the NY scene as of late. Meet Brooklyn artist Doe Paoro the new manifestation of what was formally Sonias Party! This past year she traveled the world on a soul searching mission to places like India, The Himalayas, and Egypt and has returned completely transformed. She just released her album Slow To Love and video Born Whole, a short film that finds Doe blindfolded, holding a rope, walking in an endless loop through the forest. Might we add the cinemetogrophay is fuckin impressive. Shouts to Miranda Siegel and the rest of the crew for delivering some real ill visuals.
Born Whole is a melancholic marriage of sound that draws similarities to James Blake. The record's downtempo and simplistic approach uses a soft rhythmic piano that draws the listener in with an eery chant and soulful vocal. It is safe to say the record's production is A+ and use of Hip Hop style drums made it all the more rad.
You can catch Doe Paoro performing next month at SXSW and in NYC at Pianos on March 7 .
95Flavas has long supported Queens MC T.Shirt. His latest album The Fuck is getting heavy love on the inter webs with posts and reviews by many of the major Hip Hop sites. By the looks of it we think this just maybe T.Shirt's year. Download the goods and peep the video for Old Man Angst.
Here's the latest visual accompaniment for #1 In Heaven a song inspired by Patty Hearst. Shout to MNDR, she's gearing up for a nationwide tour this spring with The Ting Tings... catch her at a city near you.
Ah man this video is just too fresh! Youngsters take notes... back when we didnt have YouTube we had to record these gems on VHS. We would sit for hours and study the elements. Hip Hop forever!
